From Amateur to Professional Excellence — Join the Friends of Halo Choir

Hello everyone! I'm honored to be invited by meshbean to gather DAO friends and introduce you to a young Taiwanese choir: Halo Choir! This year marks Halo's ninth year and their first step onto the international stage! What began as a group of amateur partners united by their love for choral singing has, after years of dedicated study and skill refinement, gained recognition in two international professional competitions this year, showcasing Taiwan to the world (3rd place Gold Award at the 2024 Takarazuka International Choir Competition, 2nd place Gold Award at the 2024 Taipei International Choral Competition!)

About Halo: Halo Choir was established in 2015, Originally an alumni choir of National Taichung University of Education Affiliated Senior High School, conducted by Artistic Director Xu Hui-jun. Members are scattered across Taiwan for study and work, gathering in Taichung on weekends for rehearsals. We demonstrate our interpretation of diverse musical styles and repertoires through regular concerts. We also continuously broaden our horizons by participating in domestic and international choral competitions. Driven by our passion for singing, we improve ourselves while passing on the beauty of choral music.
Sustaining the art of choral music is not easy. This year's consecutive international competitions have depleted our funds (1. All members take vocal lessons, with partial subsidies from choir fees; 2. Accommodation and bus transportation for Japan/Taipei international competitions (airfare self-funded by members); 3. Rehearsal venue costs.) We hope you can support Halo Choir and become a Friend of Halo. Part of the donations will be reserved for blockchain participation costs, while the rest will be converted to fiat currency for next year's vocal lesson subsidies and expenses related to the 10th anniversary concert series!

My relationship with Halo: Wang Hao-en is a singer in Halo Choir. Disclosure of interest: Because I think the choir is great and want to recommend it to DAO friends, I helped establish a crypto wallet, but the private key is managed by the choir's officers.
